On Saturday I had the honor of documenting Aaron and Jo’s wedding. The couple married at the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church in a simple and traditional ceremony that was followed by a cake and punch reception. The weather was unseasonably cold for early March and we were hoping to take some photos outside, but instead opted to do all the images inside because there was light snow swirling through the air the morning of the wedding. Fortunately, the WEPC building is beautiful, colorful, and has lots of cool little corners for photos.

Aaron and Jo did a first look, to cut down on any wait time for guests between the ceremony and reception. This was an especially good choice, because the ceremony and reception were in the same building.

The couple tried as much as possible to keep the wedding vendors within their close group of family and friends. Here are a few people who helped to make the day special for the couple.

What you can’t tell from a photo is that this hug lasted at least an entire minute.

Aaron and Jo opted for a very short, casual, family friendly reception. Instead of dancing, they had board games, and instead of a full meal they only served dessert. None of their guests seemed to mind a bit! There were so many lively conversations around the room.

Aaron’s mom, Sarah, has a family tradition of taking photos of the entire extended family at each wedding, so Aaron’s dad’s side of the family did the same. Here’s the Schmidt side of the family…

You’re probably thinking, “oh wow! look at that tiny infant!” but what you should know is that this is one of three!!! Gary loves babies and he had one of the triplets in his arms during almost the entire reception.

Aaron doubled over with hearty laughter when his brother Sam told Jo to “make sure his bowl is full and he gets out at least once a day.” as if she were dog sitting instead of marrying his brother.
