Everybody loves a good high school sweethearts story, right? Here’s a great one! Adam and Tessa were both on the cross country team in high school and started dating Tessa’s senior year. This Saturday, five years later and only weeks after Tessa graduated from college, Tessa and Adam got married! Their wedding was at a family member’s barn and most of the wedding was DIY with help from a select group of pros.

Tessa and Adam’s ceremony was late – it began at 7:30pm – and the ceremony and reception were in the exact same location, with no segue between. For those reasons and many more, they wisely chose to do all their portraits in advance. Here’s Adam’s first look at Tessa in her wedding dress.

I always feel badly for kids in the wedding party. I’m sure all the commotion and pressure is confusing. These cuties were not really sure about all this “wedding stuff”, but they did an AWESOME job!!

It rained a little very briefly, so we took advantage of an opportunity for a few unique wedding photos.

The guests were already seated at tables for the ceremony, so there was very little time needed to transition from ceremony to reception. While the guests grabbed cocktails, we took ten minutes to grab a few more photos outside.

Vinnie did an awesome job of keeping the dancing going. I honestly didn’t noticed how many children were at this wedding… until dancing started! Kids everywhere!! Breaking. it. down. These boys here all attempted the worm at least once. (I love, love, love that every boy that age is willing to try break dancing in public, with no shame. It’s one of my favorite things about open dancing at receptions.)
