Blake and Amberley had a meet-cute worthy of a rom-com. They met in HS at lunch through a mutual friend they had both very recently met. When Amberley saved the numbers of these new friends on her phone, she accidentally swapped their names and numbers. Amberley needed to text Levi about a group project at school and accidentally texted Blake instead. The rest is history! A few years later, Blake proposed near Florence, Italy at a villa in a vineyard in the moonlight. Yes, for real.

As a couple, these two are sweet and each is sensitive toward the needs of the other. Their wedding day was packed with sincere emotion and there were many joyful tears. I don’t want to slow your scroll with reading when you could be seeing photos instead, so I’ll show you each step along the way.

Blake & Amberley chose not to see each other before their wedding ceremony but did say a prayer together around a corner in the church so that they wouldn’t see each other.

Amberley’s dad Doug had a quick little first look with her before the ceremony. He was all smiles, and really just wanted a hug with his little girl.

The church is currently under construction, but also couldn’t accommodate all the guests – especially in an appropriately socially distanced way – so the ceremony took place in a tent on the back lawn of the church.

Blake’s reaction to seeing Amberley was SO sweet!

While the couple dismissed their guests by row, I snagged the bridal party for a couple of photos.

The DJ, Claude Clark, had a couple of jars on the cake table where guests could add money for the “cake in the face game” a bride jar and a groom jar. The jar with the most money in it meant that individual got to shove cake in the other person’s face. This couple is so sweet that Amberley, though she won, really didn’t want to shove cake in Blake’s face. Instead, she gently painted him with a little bit of frosting.

You may not be able to read these forks clearly at this size and resolution, but they are a matching set that says: “I do” and “Me too”.

At the end of the night, the couple exited the reception through a tunnel of sparklers.

(Then they had to run back through the other way to get to their truck.)

On the way to their hotel, they graciously agreed to meet me at the lake for some sunset photos. The sky just happened to be BRILLIANTLY colored.
