She’s a Hoosier, he’s a Boilermaker, but he graciously allowed their engagement photos to happen on HER campus. And what a lovely campus it is!! Meet Daniel and Katy! You may remember them from my Facebook page in late December. We did a mini engagement session in the dead of winter so that they could get some images for their save-the-date cards. It was mini not only because they only needed a couple of images, but also because we were all about to freeze to death!! If I remember correctly, it was only about 15 degrees that day with a windchill of -5. Fortunately their full engagement session had MUCH better weather than the save-the-date session.

Katy is attending grad school for audiology and Daniel is finishing up his Purdue degree in Landscape Architecture. This fun couple has only been dating a year, but they’ve known each other for a long time. In fact, they attended the same small private high school. Together they are sweetly calm. They love to soak in rich cultural events together, attending operas, musicals, botanical gardens, and museums with enthusiastic interest. One of the things I love best about this couple is how well they listen. They are always ready to give an ear to a fun anecdote, a sympathetic story, or anything that someone feels is important to impart on them. For that reason, I assume that their relationship is rarely tense, but instead is consistently pleasant and equitable. Hanging out with Daniel and Katy was a joy for me. Take a look at this fresh faced couple and experience a tiny bit of their love. 

Just in case you’re unaware… the colors of these tulips are very strategic: Crimson and Cream.

The IU campus has this fantastic limestone and stained glass gazebo that is truly breathtaking.

The Bloomington campus is home to a very impressive greenhouse. I couldn’t get enough of it… except the heat. The three of us didn’t care for that so much.
