Trevor and Julie met online and started dating in May 2016.  Julie is a middle school teacher and Trevor designs machinery at a Tool & Dye. This couple loves to do things outdoors together like hiking, so after about a year of dating, Trevor proposed to Julie at Bryse Canyon National Park in Utah. What an awesome proposal. It involved one of their favorite hobbies in one of their favorite places. To further tie in the couple’s love of the great outdoors, we shot their engagement photos at the Salamonie Forest in Lagro, Indiana. This hidden gem feels like it doesn’t belong in Indiana. The limestone and shale cliffs and trickling waterfalls are so out of character for such a flat part of the country. It wasn’t Bryce Canyon, but it was the best we could do in Northern Indiana.

Trevor and Julie are really chill people. They have very similar senses of humor. I love that they were willing to get a little muddy and out of breath to get to spots where we could take pretty epic engagement photos. That kind of commitment to photos is ideal for me. I REALLY love the results and this shoot is probably one of my favorite engagement shoots ever. The time of day, the time of year, and the spots, made for some awesome beauty.
Oh, and the couple is pretty cute too…

Julie is so cute! She has a little bit of a baby face. Those apple cheeks, high cheekbones, big eyes, and smooth skin come together to create such beauty!

Here’s a little secret… those two photos by the cliff above are GORGEOUS! But what you can’t tell is that there was an odor over there that was terrible. These two were troopers for standing much closer to the source of the odor than I did. That’s dedication!
