In mid-December, I had the immense pleasure of documenting the wedding of Vamsi and Christy. Vamsi was a friend of ours from the gym, and when we met Christy’s family about a year and a half ago, we became so excited for Vamsi. Our friend had been so seamlessly absorbed into a fun-loving and tight-knit family that was thrilled to include him in everything. Not only did Vamsi meet the woman of his dreams, but her family also seemed like a dream. They couple is a perfect match. Their shared values and deep connection were evident throughout their wedding day, from the tender moments during their vows to the joy shared on the dance floor.

Vamsi and Christy’s wedding took place on December 14th at the Ramada Inn in Montpelier, Ohio. While the December date might have discouraged outdoor photos, we were lucky to catch a few moments outside before the chill set in. With an early winter sunset, we had just enough golden light to capture the joy and anticipation of the day.

The ceremony was held in an intimate ballroom adorned with greens and whites, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. Officiated by Christy’s aunt, the ceremony was a heartfelt blend of traditions, incorporating touches of Vamsi’s Indian heritage. Christy and Vamsi chose not to have a first look, which made the moment Vamsi saw Christy walking down the aisle even more special. After the ceremony, guests moved to the larger ballroom for the reception, which was a burst of vibrant Indian-inspired colors. The transformation from the ceremony’s muted tones to the reception’s lively palette was stunning. The evening’s festivities were expertly coordinated by Tammy Duchene, and the dance floor buzzed with energy thanks to Ben Crites of Livewire Entertainment.

The couple’s vendors truly outdid themselves. SMJ of Waldron, MI, provided breathtaking floral arrangements that seamlessly complemented both the ceremony and reception décor. Colleen Herbert of Premier Salon in Bryan, OH, ensured Christy’s hair was picture-perfect all day. The delicious cake was crafted by Kristy’s Cakes at the Bake Shop in Fayette, OH, and JJ Winns of Holiday City delighted everyone with their catering.

Many of you know that I am stepping away from shooting weddings and this was the last wedding I had on my schedule. What a way to end!
