When the proposal takes place at an Avett Brothers concert, on New Year’s Eve, right at midnight… it takes a lot to top it. However, Dan and Sarah successfully had a wedding that was equally, if not more, epic. The wedding was half formal while also being casual. It was fun and also deeply serious. It was sentimental, but also silly. The couple married at Camp Mary Orton with an outdoor ceremony followed by a reception in the main lodge. Their closest friends and family members were all too eager to enthusiastically celebrate the union of Dan and Sarah.

Before I show you the highlights of the day, here are a few of the people who helped make this day possible:

• Florist: The Flowerman Columbus -all the flowers were be ordered wholesale through them and the bride and her bridesmaids arranged the flowers with the help of a DIY coach. (When you see the results your jaw. will. drop!)

Dan and Sarah wisely chose to do all their photos in advance of the ceremony. They had a Friday evening wedding and in order to get all the photos they wanted and still schedule the ceremony in a way that worked for their friends. Here are some shots of Dan’s reaction to seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time.

After the ceremony there was an outdoor picnic style cocktail hour.

I kept watching outside through the windows to see if we’d get a good sunset for photos and I finally gave up because I thought it was far too cloudy. I’m so thankful that Sarah’s sister Amy spotted this sunset and ran to let me know. Because HOLY COW! It was soooooo vivid! We almost forcefully dragged Dan away from conversations with guests in order to take these photos.

All three formal dances were tear-worthy. Perfect song choices all around. I loved it!

Once the formal dances were over it was time for the guests to join in the fun. And BOY did they!!

Congrats Dan and Sarah on an absolutely awesome day! It was SO. MUCH. FUN. to be part of your day. You two are perfect together and I’m so glad I got to be around two people who love to love each other so well.
