Jesey, Jesey, Jesey… my friend, my confidant, my nail tech, a woman who loves without any judgment or reservation. How many times have we sat over coffee or sat with you perfecting my nails and talked about our dreams for your future? Seeing you marry your partner, best friend, and forever concert buddy was an honor that I cannot explain. Shooting a wedding is always an emotional investment for me, but shooting YOUR wedding? Shoot! I cried all day, girl! So, before you look at these photos, know that I love you and Jason, and I loved being part of your wedding. I love, love, love, loved it!

OK, now back to the rest of you. Hi, welcome to Jason & Jesey’s wedding blog…

Jason and Jesey got married at the San Marino Club in Troy Michigan, a venue that looks a bit like a castle. (Compared to Omar & Yvonne’s castle wedding that I shot earlier this year, this was a relatively subtle nod to a castle.) The venue was a nice blend of modern and traditional. The couple used a beautiful combination of Navy and Champagne with soft white roses. They each had six attendants, but both had an attendant of the opposite gender, which I love!

The day was simply fun! It was smooth and rainless although very windy, but the wind made the photos look so exciting. (Nice try, forecast!) The ceremony was personal and funny, while also sweet. The reception was a raucous celebration. I’d rather show you than talk about it, so keep scrolling to see this fantastic wedding!

Jesey is an only child and was very close to her father. It was so devastating when Jesey’s dad passed away suddenly while on a business trip. To remember him and have him be part of her wedding, Jesey carried two photos of her father on either side of a pendant that was attached to her bouquet.

Jesey wouldn’t be Jesey without a string of pearls around her neck. They were a gift from her dad and she wears them all the time!

This is Jason’s reaction to reading a card that his mom gave him before the wedding. So sweet!

The bridesmaids and groomsmen all walked down the aisle in pairs. The order meant that Jason and Joel walked down the aisle together. They really leaned into the moment.

Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Jesey’s grandfather walked her down the aisle.

Oh my goodness, the speeches were SO good! Four of the most heartfelt and beautiful tributes I’ve heard in a long time.

After dinner, I snuck outside with the couple for some sunset photos.

When we came back inside they went directly into their formal dances.

Congratulations, Jason and Jesey on a dreamy day! Everything was perfect. Just perfect. It was an honor to be part of your wedding. I’m so glad I was the person who got to document the day for you. I wish you many many happy anniversaries!
