A few weeks ago I got up at the crack of dawn and drove to Chicago for a sunrise session with this couple. In Chicago, a sunrise session, instead of a sunset session is a BRILLIANT idea. Especially this time of year! It’s not as busy, it’s quieter, it’s cooler, and for us… it was the perfect time for rooftop photos on a new construction building downtown. Renelle on the River is a property being developed by the Belgravia Group. Lindsey is a broker with that group and was able to get special permission, with the supervision of the site foreman, for us to go up to the roof. It was an unbelievable privilege, and as a result, I’m insanely jealous of the future residents of that building. It’s stunning! The views of the river are incredible!

I asked this couple a little bit about their origin story and I honestly didn’t expect it to be so humorous and touching. Elie is a close friend of Lindsey’s sister Brooke. He was interested in Lindsey but so worried that it wouldn’t work out and would ruin his friendship with Brooke that he very nearly backed out altogether. Everyone is so happy he chose the courageous option and pursued Lindsey because now they get to be one big happy family.
