Seth and Estelene were married on Saturday in a beautiful winter wedding, in two of the most gorgeous pieces of architecture in the charming “Lime City” Huntington, Indiana.

Este, an insurance recruiter, met Seth, a manufacturing engineer at the YMCA in Huntington. She and a friend would stalk him while he worked out. One day she told him if he asked her out, she’d buy him a birthday beer. He did and made her follow through on that promise. It wasn’t long before Seth was proposing to Este on a beach in South Carolina.

The couple had a touch of art deco in their black and white wedding, which tied in well with the historic architecture of their reception venue. Their wedding had a touch of Christmas, a touch of New Year’s Eve, and a real classic beauty.

Este wisely had a pair of shoes ready for dancing time. She had coordinating sparkle though!

I actually used Este’s sparkley flats as the backdrop for this ring shot.

I love the feather details that Pam included in Este’s bouquet.

The girls piled on Beth’s (Este’s mom’s) bed for a photo in their monogrammed robes…

Beth was standing by secretly holding a remote that would turn on a vibrator in the bed. This was the initial reaction…

While I was at Kyle and Beth’s house with Este and the bridesmaids, David was at the church with Seth and the groomsmen shooting these images…

The couple did a First Look so that they could do all of their photos before their 6:30pm ceremony. That way after the ceremony, nobody needed to wait around for photos to be taken. Here’s Seth’s reaction to seeing Este…

We started with family photos at the church. The family felt a lot of attachment to the church and preferred that location for their family photos. We needed to be out of the church for a period of time for their regularly scheduled Saturday Mass, so the family was really sweet and cooperative about going first.

When the time for mass drew near, we cleared out of the church and finished the formal photos at the reception hall, the Huntington County Courthouse. The Courthouse has a three-story open rotunda in the center of the room with a stained glass ceiling. It was a gorgeous setting for photos!

Este is absolutely gorgeous! I love that her bridal look was simple. Sure, her shoes were pointy and glittery, but her hair and makeup were very classic and I think that will be something she’ll appreciate about her photos in the future. She truly looked like herself, not like she was wearing a costume. That makes for a timeless bridal style.

I was personally hoping for snow at this wedding, but Este assures me that she preferred the rain. The couple consented to go out for a couple of shots to show off the sparkle of the falling rain. I LOVE rain photos!

Seth & Este’s ceremony was a full mass. It was really rich with tradition and beauty.

I caught the ringbearer yawning and was a little worried that he wouldn’t make it through the ceremony…

…but he quickly changed his expression when he realized he was in my sights.

This cake was made by Este!

Este also made all of these cupcakes! I really don’t know how she found the time! I’m so impressed.

Charcuterie is an awesome way to serve a lot of quality food in a casual and easy way. I LOVE this layout!

At the end of a wedding, I have a habit of checking in with the couple and asking if there’s anything they want to make sure I’ve captured before I leave. Este asked if she could take a photo of me with Olivia (who, thanks to her big beautiful eyes, has serious Zooey Deschanel vibes, btw) So, Este did a hilarious bit where she did an impression of me and got low to the ground. (I have a reputation for squatting low or even laying on the ground to shoot photos.) So, this is the photo.
It’s SO funny to me, because the person who’s most in focus in this photo, is Seth. I didn’t even know he was back there at the time. It’s almost poetic. Este is focused on Seth. I also love that Ashley nailed the lighting for Este. She’s the consummate lighting assistant!

Seth and Este, a thousand congratulations! Thanks so much for choosing me to document your wedding for you. It was an honor! Without a doubt, my favorite photos of you two are the ones where you’re dancing and singing together to Sweet Caroline. You obviously love to have fun together, and I feel like that’s the kind of foundation that will allow your love to grow for a lifetime. I wish you many happy anniversaries!
