Last Saturday, I had the immense privilege of documenting the wedding of Ryan and Jordan. This couple met at a mutual friend’s grad school graduation party and they totally hit it off! A few years and a pandemic later, they were finally able to say “I Do!” The couple got married in Chicago, not just because they live there, but because they truly love the city. I get it! I love it too! It’s such a cool backdrop and a really fun change of pace for me. A quicker pace, but still a fun change.

This wedding was a truly joyful celebration. It was so nice to see how deeply loved and unconditionally supported Ryan and Jordan are. Their close-knit families were delighted to be part of this day and they were so happy for the couple. That was evident in everything from prep time to the toasts. I’m confident that you’ll be able to experience the joy, love, and support in these images. The couple spent so much of the day laughing, and I can’t think of a better way to spend a wedding day!

The couple’s look reminded me of old Hollywood glamour, so I felt compelled to edit more photos in black and white than I normally would. I just couldn’t help myself! You’ll see what I mean…

The couple hoped for really beautiful April weather but didn’t exactly get what they ordered. However, everything still turned out beautifully and the sun actually did briefly emerge at precisely the right time. You’ll see what I mean when you keep scrolling.
