Todd and Kyleigh met at the gym. After tough workouts, they’d hang out by the garage doors near a fan and chat as they tried to recover. Kyleigh, who loves to laugh, thought that Todd’s jokes and quips were absolutely hilarious. Todd eventually noticed Kyleigh’s sweet nature and huge heart. They started dating a little over a year ago. Last Friday, they got married at The Wooded Knot in Tippecanoe, Indiana. This wedding was honestly one of my favorites that I’ve ever shot. Emotions were high the entire day. There was so much joy, the kind of joy that can only come from two people who have waited a really long time for the right one. Lots of happy tears were shed. (I even cried a little. Twice.)

The day of the wedding was cold. Truly, deeply, bitterly cold. The kind of cold that reaches your bones. It was unusually cold for mid-November, with a high temp of only 27 degrees, and a feels-like temp of only 9! Oh, and it was windy too. Fortunately, the Wooded Knot has a fireplace and a significant stash of seasoned firewood. They graciously kept the blaze going the entire day. We wanted some photos with the beautiful snow, so our strategy was to take some photos outside and then come back inside when it got too unbearable, and warm up by taking photos in front of the fireplace. Obviously, that cold meant that Todd and Kyleigh were happy to snuggle up with each other for photos. I’m thankful for their adventurous spirits because I love the snow photos.
