I tried to figure out how long I’ve known Shelby, and I think it’s been about 20 years. Shelby has heard my husband screech her name in a high pitched voice across a crowded auditorium hundreds of times. It’s affectionate, I’m sure, but it sounds alarming. Because we’ve known each other so long, I was deeply honored when she asked me to document her wedding to Tanner. Shelby and Tanner met online in 2015 and found they had a lot in common. They have similar backgrounds and interests, specifically their love for their dogs. They have now been together so long and have so many of the same friends that most of Tanner’s side of the wedding party were Shelby’s relatives. Their lives have truly meshed.

Shelby’s grandfather was gracious enough to host their wedding celebration on his farm, and even paused harvest season to accommodate the wedding. It was a very lovely and personalized day. The weather was absolutely perfect.
