Chris and Brook met about two years ago and found a quick connection with each other. They have a lot in common. Chris introduced Brook to Dungeons & Dragons, and now they love to play together. They both enjoy reading, video games, and sci-fi. It’s great that Brook likes to read, because Chris loves to write, so they’re a good team in that regard. They support each other no matter what, and I’ve witnessed in their unguarded moments that they are very affirming and encouraging toward each other. They’re sweet. I’m around a lot of couples, and I believe this couple has something truly special.

I really enjoyed this wedding not only because I think this couple is perfect for each other, but also because it wasn’t the same cookie cutter wedding we’ve all seen before – it was personalized, it was unique, it was memorable. This wedding was a little bit cheeky and a whole lot of fun, but also took the gravity of the day and the commitment very seriously. Chris and Brook didn’t plan to have dancing at their reception, but when their guests showed interest in dancing, they encouraged everyone to go for it. As the tables were moved aside, the couple smiled broadly, obviously delighted that their guests were having fun.

This wedding, while very non-traditional, included combinations of a couple of different ancient traditions. Chris and Brook incorporated some Pagan traditions, Celtic hand-fasting, elegant Gothic styling, and also had some fun with the spookiness of the Halloween season. They even encouraged guests to wear costumes. It would be easier for you to see it than for me to describe it, so I’ll let you keep scrolling. I know you’ll enjoy what you see!
